    I tend not to handle/ jostle my animals too much during breeding so if a shed is bad I leave what I cannot quickly remove. I cycle my humidity from 30-40% with spikes of 80+% throughout the season. During the cycles it usually takes care of itself.

    One reason he's probably getting dry shed's like that is the rack's he's using. There is a lot of ventilation. Some people have taken to covering most of the screen on top of the racks on the Freedom Breeder and similar racks. Otherwise you tend to get dry shed's often. I can understand not wanting to get in there and pull it off when you want to make sure they breed though.
