I was told by someone thats really good friends with them over there but I guess they have a really big plan up there sleeves.

That is what I am thinking, but for an extra $100 I think I will go with it and be able to control 2 other zones if needed.

Yeah, true, and after all, how cold does it ever get in New Orleans? lol. Probably have more trouble with cooling than heating. :D

The coldest my garage has gotten so far this year without a heater is about 65* and that is normal. I have a window unit waiting to go in for cooling duty :)

Until it is mentioned we don't know if the room is temp controlled. Even so sure snakes can survive on lower temps...sometimes... but why risk it? I keep my reptile area temp stable and I still would not use one single stat to control multiple racks protection features or not. I guess I just don't like the idea of taking risks with my animals. The multiple output is great for enclosures or "a" rack requiring hot and cool side monitoring/heating for sure but again I choose to picky when it comes to my animals. :)
