Very nice pictures - and you're making me go into camera withdrawal! I am hoping to get a Canon S3 that has macro and super macro on it! Would love to take pictures like that! A few more weeks and the camera will be MINE!!!! LOL

I've been a semi pro photographer for years. I have done catologs and stuff and it kills me because I have thousands of dollars in regular film cameras and hardly ever use them because I love my digital.

That is a wicked camera and some wicked results!!! I love the last pic of the burm's head. Great detail. Great shot. (maybe you can photoshop the hair out? lol) Funny that you didn't notice the hair until you looked at the photos. Reminds me of this flatscreen tv ad where they're looking for a golf ball and its so clear on the tv to the people watching. Anyways great stuff.

How much $ did that camera and lens set you back?

Well, I'm pretty sure my wife dropped a cool $300 for the lens and the camera now goes for about $800 with one lens out the door.

My brother is a photographer by trade (went to school for it, works for the local paper and does a lot of wildlife photography as well). I asked him whether he prefers film over digital (he's more into the artistic side of it), and he said there's really no benefit of film over digital now. He'd much rather work with digital.
