Been there done that and those things suck to put it nicely. Glad to hear you're doin better. Im up there with keith, i usually have a few a year. Some times I can manage and pass em on my own, sometimes I have to make a trip to the emergency room. Usually the dividing point is when i start puking from the pain, thats when its time to go. I agree the water test is probably a good idea. I know that in my area they say we are alot more likely to get them than other parts of the country, not exactly sure why though. Hopefully you'll find out the problem and be able to correct it and not deal with any more stones.

    Good to see you back.
A friend of mine had them a couple weeks ago and he said it makes him never want to drink soda again or eat fast food. He also had to have surgery but for some reason I think that was a whole nother thing.

    Audrey,

Glad to have you back!!!! :carrot: :sunny:

Soooooooooo sorry to hear that you've been so ill!!:O :(

Here's hoping you continue to have a STRONG recovery!!

Carbonation (of ANY kind ...sodas, flavored waters, seltzer water, tonic water) encourages the stones formation AND growth!!!!

Good luck in them not happening again!

And yeah Mike the cats did get stones :( Although theres were HUGE compared to mine..they did have to go in and remove theres...way to big to pass...like the size of a pea almost.

And yeah I to puked like crazy..it started on a Saturday..I wasnt hungry or thirsty all day...well that turned into a week....I took myself to the E.R. alone at 3:30am Friday I could hardly bend at the waist...and couldnt stop throwing up..the worst part was there was nothing to get out...just dry heaving.. :(
Waited forever crieing my eyes out in the waiting room and finally got pumped full of drugs...they said I had a bladder and urinary track infection along with the stones and of coarse was dehydrated. I fought like hell to be sent home..because they wanted me to stay...I prefer to suffer in my own home thank you. :P Hospital's give me the creeps.

It was nice to fast for a week and not feel hungry or thirsty (actually didnt crave anything..smokes..gum..nothing but sleep)...didnt realize I had stones though..I woke up with shooting pain and thought for sure I was one of those woman who carry a child to full term with out knowing they were pregnant in the first place...honost to god...all I could think was...oh freaking great...I'm in labor lol. After yoga, a hot bath and some rubs with essential oils I realized uhh I must be giving birth to a jagged piece of metal because this is god aweful.
Drove a 100 to the hospital unable to sit all the way because the pressure was killing me and then got the good news...your giving birth alright...to a jagged stone...I think it has my eyes personally. :D

but yes all is well now...i'm afraid to eat or drink a damn thing that's for sure...
Glad to be back .. what did I miss?

And Mike thanks for calling me cutie..how sweet..

Well unless the kitties are raiding the fridge to slug back sodas I'd get that water source checked since it's likely one of the few things you and your cats ingest in common.

Hope you feel better. When my brother-in-law has those stones it was awful. Never seen such tough guy go down like that. The ER nurse said it's the worst pain a man can have close to a woman's labour but at least we get a pretty baby out of it.
