    I know what you mean by broke. we did new water heater, furnace, central air ,privacy fence, new carpet throughout, gutted and rebuilt the bathroom and library. Removed 8 trees, landscaping, electric in 4 rooms and painted trim in1 1/2 yrs. about 40,000 with us doing much of the work. We only paid about 67,000 originally.:D But thats only the FUN part of home ownership. Wait till all the bills come in!!:eek: :eek:

    It looks good. Is there a place to sit down in front of the fire?

    In the past 3 months, I have gone thru sooo much money. Here's the total so far. It's sad considering I am still nowhere near done.

    Bathroom = $2,000
    Furniture = $3,200
    Carpeting = $1,200
    Marble Fireplace = $1,800
    New ceiling fan, lights, doors = $800

    I still need paint and some ceramic floor tiles.

    I hope most of this can be written off at tax time so I can recoup some money to do the roof and chimney.

    Maybe hes expecting to hatch something crazy, and hes just not telling us about it? :cool:
