i got one its a thermostate its currently sitting at 97.7 on the glass
so the higest temp it hit was 98 on the glass so if she gets down the highest temp she will see will be 98
Re: dominique's cage set up for the firts few months
98 is too hot! around 94 max. try to keep the warm end at least 90-94, the cool end 80-82.
too hot can be just as bad or worse than too cold!!

If it gets waay to hot it's considerably worse in fact.
I was once told that if you keep a snake too cold it will slowly die but if you keep it too hot it will quickly die. I must stress here I'm not talking about a few degrees out though. A friend of mine's mother once cooked his snake by putting the tank in the conservatory because " she thought it would like the heat" - took less than 2 hours to kill it.
But as the O.P. has it on a thermostat his snake shouldn't be in any danger - that is why we use them afterall. Plus he's talking about directly on the glass rather than on top of the substrate so just turning it down slightly should fix things just right :)

i got it takeing the reading directly on the glass with teh substarte over it a good bit!
i turned it down reading between 90-94
and the cold side is around 75-80,
i switched the light to the other side to help boost the heat up there a lil,
only have the light on real low setting just to warm the area now and then so it dosnt drop below 75,
got the humidity right around 50%
just mist it a lil bit each time after i handel her
