this may the best substrate for your snake

Before starting new threads on "which substrate do you think is the best", please try searching and reading some older and longer threads about it...=)

We have quite a few with all opinions and options voiced and discussed.

When I had a smaller collection, I used to do the same ... now I'm going through a couple thousand sheets of paper a week, the paperboy would kill me! ;)

Besides, albinos, hypos, and pieds look nasty covered in newspaper ink ... So I order unprinted paper pre-cut to fit my boxes ... it's perfect. :D

Could say you have a rare albino ink smear BP. :rolleyes:

My personal preference is the indented kraft paper. Price isn't an issue right now with my 1, lone BP. :P

I like newspaper and papertowels on top - my boa and rankins dragon loves burrowing between the sheets of paper towel in preference to using a hide. I get my newspaper free from the estate agents shops as here in the Uk they always have great containers full of their free papers and I swipe a handful :P

I've never had the ink come off on my snakes, even when it gets wet. Although I imagine you would have to subscribe to nearly every paper in the country to keep up with your needs. :)

I was told that the brick stuff could cause problems in the vent .... clogs it or something

I use Kraft paper for the adlts/subadults and newspaper for the babies.
