    Who cares about the engine?:P does it have a removable top?...... hot chick + topless jeep = Daaaang!!!........or is it hot jeep + topless chick = Daaaaang! :P LOL..... at any rate hot chicks and jeeps go hand in hand, I think you should get one;):D

    I am not looking at it for the coolness factor, some engines are much more reliable than others in jeeps.

    It is automatic! This is what struck me, as they all seem standard when you're talking CJs.

    I don't know. I only drove a couple of CJ7s back in the 80's, and both of them were automatic. The only thing manual was shifting to 4WD like I posted earlier.
    I honestly don't remember what engine was in the ones I drove, though. I know it was a 6 cylinder, but the CJs were back before Chrysler bought Jeep from AMC, so I don't know if it was the same 4.0L Chrysler was putting in the wranglers later on, or not.
