Wow i had no idea Brian stopped the show in December. If you want to go to the best one go in August its the breeders expo.I took my daughter in 05 and she saw her first butter, pied and numerous others.Pretty cool show:cool: .If you have no takers on your rats place a ad in a paper and adjust your price to cover the ad.

Yea the show would have fallen on Xmas weekend and it was also the worst attended of the year so I don't blame him. As for the Expo I went this year was very cool and got to see in person a lot of the double recessive BP that everyone talkes about...way cool.

I also placed an add on Craigslist so I will give this a few days before deciding my next step. Indy has seen a lot of "stupid" snake owners getting into the news lately so the least amount attention I draw to my "hobby" the better for now (unforntuate that politics will more than likely start to come into play in Indiana).

Does Indy have any herp clubs? If so, maybe you could offer club members a deal on your surplus rats.

Just a quick *bump* before I start with other options to get rid of some of my extras.

Thanks for all the good ideas by the way.

Yea we have a bunch of "think its a cool status symbol" to carry your snake around and scare people (AKA MORONS) here in Illinois.Watch the responses from that graiglist also we have had a few burgleries after someone posted animals on their.Ya know the type that come to your home and "pretend" to adopt your animal but instead "case" your home out for later.Dogs that were adopted like this have shown up in dog pounds or let loose to roam:mad: .

I was worried about that exact thing with Craigslist so in the ad I offered to meet them somewhere mutual. Not only to keep any bad elements out of my home but to also not expose my true snake habit - as I assumed I would get people wanted rats as pets and not just food. Those "Rat" people can be nuts.:rolleye2:
