    If you have an airbrush and a compressor, you can cover spray the skin with several coats of "Future" (Floor Finish acrylic) diluted 50% with water. This will seal the skin.

    Beat me too it......

    This is similar to the process used to 'mount' snake skins.

    Google "taxidermy" and you can find tons on ways of preserving animal parts ;)

    Thanks for all the replies! :D Lots of good info. I'll keep looking into it and see what I can do and take some pics when I've found something that works...
