Were new to this sitel, hoping to get some good advice about our Ball Pythons

Glad to hear that you're rescuing them,.. One suggestion I have, is to go out and get four rubbermaid tubs, one for each of them; these are the best overall cages for these snakes IMO. Then, if any of them defecate or urate, just clean the tub and replace w/ fresh newspaper. This site has a great caresheet that says it all mainly; I would just stick to a newspaper substrate like Adam said, until things are improved w/ their health.
