Some people around here just dont listen to someone thats not a "pet shop owner" You try to tell them something that could save the snakes life and they come back and say "well the owner of the shop said to do this"

A few weeks ago I was in our local reptile shop (the best ive ever seen) and someone called the owner on the phone (again hes extremely experienced with reptiles, hes owned his shop and bred snakes for 40+ years) and was concerned because his snake regurged, well come to find out the guy had been calling the shop for a few months with the same problem, the shop owner told him to wait a couple weeks and to feed something small for the first feed after a regurge. The guy on the phone comes back and says "well he ate the one mouse so good and I thought he was still hungry and gave him another, but he threw up again" The whole time we were sitting there and talking to one of his workers and he was teling us the whole story about the guy on the phone. After the owner hung up the phone, he looked at us with this look as if he was fixing to politely kill someone, the funniest thing ive seen in a while.

I know exactly how it feels. As to the live feeding thing I feed live as well but i monitor the whole thing until they begin to swallow. She was letting it run around in the cage w\o watching, and even after I told her about some of the dangers it didn't change her mind one bit.:(
