Turns out, he is 100% het for orange ghost. He came from the people who were known as Reptile Addicts, in Lockport, NY.. his sire is an orange ghost and his dam is a pastel.

Wow! He is a supremely handsome fella! And grats to Mark for such a sweet surprise! I think I'd faint dead-away if my husband ever gifted me with a snake! :giggle:

He surprised me out of the blue with this one. Here's a little background info, if you're interested in reading.. The breeder who he came from, went through some bad times; the Spca had a highly publicized crackdown on them for supposed "inhumane conditions" of their animals this past year. Now, I had been to their store numerous times in the months before this happened, and their conditions were not bad to me; the snakes were caged satisfactorily, and it is one of the few places around here that I would buy fish from since their tanks were so spectacular.
I believe that people need second chances in life, and the media often grossly misrepresents things as worse than they are; hence, I was not mad when Mark bought this little guy from them. Mark was at the store to get this snake, and said the conditions were just fine. I guess the Spca had issues with the snakes being kept in shoeboxes (something most of us do, nothing wrong with it at all.) Since I know of many instances where the Spca acted on a knee-jerk reaction, I don't hold much faith in their side of this story.
He is a fat, healthy BP with no external parasites; still need to get a fecal done on him. He's from Mr. Kick of Reptile Addicts.

Nice find Gin, or should I say Mark.

Good luck on the ghost project! I can tell by all the pictures you're really excited about this little guy.

I am.. see, when I bought Bela from Alex Hue, he had something stating on his website that his CBB normals were possibly het for ghost.. so in the future I''d love to breed this little guy to her and see what happens!
