blood? Cloacal area?

Here is a pic of the blood stain he left on my shirt. as you can see it is in the shape of his spurs at the cloacal

great so far Vet seems stumped:( Going to another one at 5pm!

Hopefully the vets don't over price you.. The snake vet by me charges 65 bucks just to come in the front door..... so I use the back one:D;) I hope it is nothig major!

yep $68 a visit!!! But he (being Columbus) is worth every dime to me:) I can't imagine something happening to any of my BP's:)

Well I don't quite know how to tell you all what the vet thinks is going on... Not sure if its possible, but I'm not the vet she is.....

1. X-rays - look awesome
2. he looks awesome - no signs of anything wrong
3. Said he was an absolutely gorgeous normal
4. Thinks that.... here's the part I don't understand... Thinks that a womans scent when in cycle is confusing him and the little blood discharge is sexual???

He has been trying to stick his spurs in me and it only happens when I am holding him.... Anyone else think this vet is way off????:confused:

I am totally stumped too, i have never heard of that, but i am new to herping as well. He said that your scent threw him off, because you are a woman? I really dont think that snakes are sexually attracted to humans, and that your scent would change his sexual behaviors.

I would venture to say that there is nothing wrong with him. While I don't think #4 is plausible, I guess anything is possible.

i agree....see if the bleeding passes, if it doesn't then i would say bring him to a diffrent vet, it will cost you more money, but you said that you are willing to do anything for your babies.

I've sent you the link to where I take my reptiles - They are a bit pricy, however have a few doctors there experienced with both keeping and treating exotics...
