Its simple if you click on someones user name it will show add to your buddy list or ignore so and so.If you add them to your buddy list it places a + by there name when they are online.If you ignore that person everything they post is blocked out and you are unable to read it.

there's also a list of your buddy's on the lower left side - so you can pm them real quick!
