one thing though... it doesn't last long. the shelf life, once opened is short. because of this i mix the whole bottle up, with baby food and freeze it in a ziploc bag. i make sure it's thin and flat when it freezes.

then i just break off little pieces and add a tiny bit of hot water to it and place it into the crestie enclosure. at first they didn't seem to be eating any but now it's always empty in the morning. ;)

That's an awesome idea, Aleesha! When I finally get to get some cresties of my own, I'm definitely trying that!

Re: Anyone use the Crested Gecko Diet?
Hi, just purchased a new crety also, ive been trying to find info about feeding them but i am abit confused on how often to feed them, the guy at the petstore said they atre yesterday (sunday) and that i shouldnt feed him till friday? Then i read someone feeds his everyother day crickets then babyfood. What would be a good scedule? The pet clerk also suggested these vitamins, Reptivite, It has calcium, vitamin d-3, and lots of other vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. It has the texture of like flour. He said to (Shake and bake), not literally bake, the Crickets, is this true and can i also mix some with babyfood and mashed fruit and stuff?

since your gecko is still quite young it needs to be fed much more often than every 5 days. every 2-3 days is much better. you should feed crested gecko diet and dusted insects (the reptivite works great). you can also offer mashed fruits like peaches, watermelon, mango, strawberry, etc. but stay away from any citrus fruits. also stay away from baby food except for a very occassional treat if at all--it is very high in sugar content which is not good for cresteds.

a good feeding schedule would be something like this:
    day 1: crested gecko diet
day 2: leftover cgd from day one (you can mix enough to last for 2 days--after that it goes bad or dries up.)
    day 3: no food
day 4: dusted crickets or other appropriate insects
    day 5: no food
    day 6: cgd
    day 7: leftover cgd
    day 8: no food
    day 9: dusted crickets/insects
    day 10: no food
