    Someone sold you a BP that had not even taken it's first feeding yet? Sorry did I maybe read that wrong? Also, unless he's an extremely tiny baby, as far as I know a pinkie mouse is an incredibly small meal for any normal BP hatchling.

    I was thinking the same thingS!

    Most breeders won't sell a bp until after it has eaten two or three meals. Better safe than sorry!

    Generally, a baby bp can easily take a hopper mouse, and quickly move up to small adults. A very picky eater can be started with fuzzy mice. But if you are switching to rat pinkies, all is good. If he refuses the rat, and you decide to go back to mice, up the size probably to hopper.
