The water is gravity fed through the black tubing to sippers in each tub. The rats lick at the sipper and water comes out. Basically, its that easy

Its vanilla since I know you care so much! I put the pasta right in the food bowls, not in the hopper! :)

I am thinking about a rat rack now, and the tubs at home depot looked sturdier, but the braces they have in the lip look like they would "hang up" on the wood rails .....

I originally bought the tubs from Home Depot, they used to have excellent tubs. In the middle of building my own and selling racks they switched to the newer (terrible) tubs. The new ones have little plastic reinforcements that stick out on the edges. Yes, they do get caught up when sliding tubs in and out. I even tried trimming of the pieces of plastic sticking out and they still "catch" every time you slide them in. I since have quit building and selling rat racks, until I can find better tubs. I can only find "flimsy" tubs everywhere I look, maybe I was just spoiled with the other ones.

Lookin' good Jamie! Now you just need 5 or 6 more racks just like it! :D

I just bought a bunch more tubs from home depot for a couple more rat racks, adn to replace a couple chewed tubs. They are a different brand than the ones I originally bought a while ago, but seem to be the same exact mold, and the same exact thickness of material. I haven't had any problems using them interchangeably with the old ones. I'm not sure off hand what brand they are, or if they will continue to carry these, but I know they are thicker than the ones at Lowes. Maybe I should go stock up while I still can.....
