    Are you saying the cage itself is escape proof or have you made it escape proof? If its one of the critter cages that you buy that states they are escape proof,NOT TRUE.If its a tank that you are using books or heavy bricks or such to make it escape proof,NOT TRUE.Your ball python even as a baby are escape artists.They are stronger then they look and the babies are capable of fitting thru some small gaps.What i use to prevent escapes from the tanks i use is i use clips every few inches all the way around the lid.You can buy these clips at the pet stores.Now these clips will only work if the lid and the tank are seperate,not the lids that slide in.One more thing,to prevent you from getting bit do not handle your bird or rabbit and then your snake without washing your hands.If you forget this you will be reminded as your snake will bite you.Even though he does not eat them the smell is to tempting not to see what they taste like;) ,of course it will be you though.

    mine is clipped and strapped shut. jaws of life wouldnt get it open
