breeding problems

hey joe thanks for the information. im not breeding this year but hopefully i can try next year. i just want my females a little more fat...

so what do you think about this statement from my last post,

"so, for example, if i just decided today "hey let me throw my male pastel in with a female for three days and see what happens", would that be fine or would you do a little more planning than that?"

Now you do not want to allow your females to get to "FAT" as that could cause them to slug out(all unfertile eggs).You are not breeding rabbits here,there is more to succesfully breeding ball pythons then just "throwing" them together.Now i can only vouch for myself on my next comments here.I start making my breeding plans for the next season the second after i remove the eggs from the females.This plan starts with getting the females to eat as soon as possible after dropping there eggs.Sometimes it could be as early as the next day or a month that they will start to eat.I tell you what since i do not want to take up this whole thread.Start a thread tommorow of your own and i will answer every question you will have.I am also falling asleep as its been a ruff day:( .Just incase i miss your thread pm me to remind me ok?:)
