Cornsnake, ball pythons, bettas, cats, dogs, what other critters do people think would be useful or fun to suggest?
Okay, 1 that would be a friggin sweet assignment and 2- there's quite a few variations in mouse and rat coloration and hair type- i loved looking at the galleries that gave examples of all the different kinds. Or the different colors in birds such as parakeets and the like. i believe its parakeets that can vary in color, yes? I say just about anything you see at petco would be interesting.

Re: Bettas
Beautiful!!! I still love the pure yellows,oranges, and whites though........the oranges I could NEVER find, and I just couldn't afford to pay too much to have one shipped.

Ohhh, I know what you mean. I too love bettas, however, buying them locally is a bad thing, they are never all that healthy.

Re: Bettas
Impressive; you've really got a nice collection of creatures :) Those are exceptionally healthy and great specimens compared to the pet-store ones we usually see.
I have one green/red/blue betta male; not sure how/what type he is.

Re: Bettas

Mendel's Balls, hamsters!
4theSNAKElady, oranges are easier to find now. Just saw one for 20 bucks, but he needs to be Imported.
Jeanne, agreed, you have to know where to get them. Shipping isn't so bad anymore though. I usually go with priority which is between 8 and 10 bucks for 7 or so fish because I don't get USPS express in my area anymore. ;_;
Ginevive, well, except Luna looks like crap. But she always has. She just has never adjusted well to the water here. Kind of screwed up her fins and color. Post a photo and I could tell you. ^^
piranhaking, about that actually. The usual for my fish is 2 years, but they're breeders. They never live as long for some reason. ;_; There's been a recent discussion on the betta forum I mod if fiddling with their water too much can shorten their life die to stress.
Tony25, you could try aquabid.com or a lot of forums I know about that would help you sell some of the fry. Depending on their color, I might even want some. ^^
