Thanks guys. This really sucks. Couldn't sleep at all last night and everytime I walk by his empty cage I just break down. This really sucks so damn bad. I really appreciate all the kind words.

Jake,as hard as it might be dispose of his cage as soon as possible. It makes dealing with him being gone alot easier.Do not just set it out by your garbage cans(unless its pickup day) take it and throw it in a dumpster somewhere.Remember we are all here for you anytime needed;) .

Sorry to hear of your loss , parrots are so loving and affectionate they are part of the family.
Was sam a jenday or a sun conure ? i always mix those guys up , i love birds.
I know its real difficult right now but joepythons is right about the cage situation , the longer its there the more upset you will become , i went through this when we lost our cockateil we had him for over 10 years and seeing his empty cage was unbearable i just had to bite the bullet and remove it.

Thanks Everyone. I don't think they are going to just throw the cage out. We will probably put it in the storage shed and if we decide to get another bird take it back out. Hopefully the pain will heal soon and I can resume a normal life

Thanks. The pain and seeing him dieing right in my eyes and I couldn't help him just makes me very sad. I guess the best thing to do is talk about it. Mom loves birds so much and I have a feeling she will bring another one home in the near future. I guess the house will be too quiet and wierd without a bird to greet you when you walk in the door.
Maybe he will come back as a snake?!?
