    Me personally? No....but I haven't ever looked at buying breedable rats from any source, much less Petco. Still...it's hard to imagine why anyone would go to the bother expense of intentionally making a rat sterile....much less multiple rats. I would guess the issue would be more age related...if the rats were too old to reproduce or something.

    That's a good question, I wonder how they would go about doing this.....my friend breeds rabbits and there housed in her garage and even though they have an a.c in there in gets so hot here in Florida some summers, she has had more then a few males go heat sterile.

    I bought a pregnant female rat from Petco today! I've also bought pregnant mice, and mice that are now in my breeder colony. But...Petco stores buy their small animals from local vendors. Different vendors may have different policies on that kind of stuff.

    Ya, I had a 1.2 trio of mice from petco and they never gave me any babies in the 4 months I had them!!! Always breeding but no babies. They were really young when I got them as well
