Curious as to why you think she would have internal parasites? Is she a recent import? If she is, good luck getting her to breed!

Jen you should really insist the snake has a vet visit before she comes into your home anyways which would include a fecal (make that part of your contract that you have a copy of the vet record that she is healthy and clear of both internal and external parasites). Then you need to consider quarantining her at least 30 days which is when you could be doing her cool down anyways. Exposing your collection to an incoming snake is always worrisome so a vet check and quarantine is something I personally would insist on having done. As far as the clutch I would think a 50/50 split with you picking first is appropriate....you are after all providing the higher dollar morph as well as supervising the breeding and incubation of the subsequent clutch as well as taking on all the risks of having someone else's snake in your home.

It really isn't like dog breeding where the stud's owners might take pick of the litter. In that case all that the male dog does is a few minutes of "work" and that's it. In this case you are doing a huge amount of work so one pick out of that clutch isn't fair to you at all IMHO.

As far as breeding loans go. I would never send out one of my BPs or take in a BP on a breeding loan. the chances of something going wrong are much to great. :)

The one who owns the most valuable snake should get first pick, and the clutch should be equally divided between the two invilved...unless there is an odd number of babies...in that case, you can just duke it out over the last hatchling.

My female was pretty small when she bred, as I did not breed her on purpose... long story, anyway, I would guess she was around 1300 grams and she produced 5 good eggs.

I have decided not to do this. I am just too worried about anything getting passed from his snake to ours, if it has something wrong such as an RI or ticks; who knows.
