yeah when you use torches on freon lines, you have to be in a well ventilated space. the fumes will literally take the breath right out of your lungs!!! it feels like someone just pulled the oxygen out of your body, there is nothing to breathe. dupont puts some weird stuff in there?

Hey Mike, they have a replacement for the brass valve on the tank it self that has a knob on it that is cheaper than just about any remote ive ever seen. That way you can use a couple dollar hose from Lowes or a hardware store (usually sold by the foot from big rolls) and id say it would be much cheaper over all. The one i use was only around 20, and the remotes ive seen are all 50 or so. They probably would be alot easier to use though, because they are a small diameter very flexible hose, and what i had in mind was using a hose that would fit over the threads that screw into the gun so it would be a little bit more ackward. I guess if i was going to do a LOT of mice i would probably go with a remote for the sake of being easier in the long run, but for a couple batches a week i dont see the extra expense really. I'll post a pic of my valve later and either a pic or a link to a "remote" for those who dont know what they are (i want to check the site rules to be sure about posting a pic that isnt mine

You should be ok to link to the items your mentioning. I have a valve like the one I think your talking about on my paintball co2 canister. Although they place way over prices them and charged to put it on I don't think it was more than $20 like you said.
