Re: Question about Becky's rat food mix
Heck Cass some of the stuff in my dry rat mix bucket is already a bit stale when it goes in. I always toss in the last handful or two from our family cereal collection which no one wants and the rats never seem to care a whit. As long as it's edible they happily dive in and dig through for their personal favorites (the marshmallow tidbits are a BIG hit! LOL) As long as the mix is kept high and dry it will be fine. Just make sure to open it and turn it once in awhile to make sure nothing is going mouldy or buggy in there. I use a big bucket with a tight lid but then I go through a lot of the stuff weekly.
Oh and Gunnar the puppy thinks that dry rat mix is yummy! :)

Ha ha! So does Diamond - she runs over when I open the enclosure and stands there with her nose about 2 inches from it and waits for me to say "oh alright just a taste!" LOL

I wanna see new pics of Gunnar! I'll bet she's gettin' BIG! (And still just as cute as a button! :P )
Re: Question about Becky's rat food mix
LOL silly Diamond! Gunnar finally learned to not bug big old Casanova after he nipped her nosey nose a couple of times. Silly fart puppy! I will get some new shots of her soon Judy. I have to dig out the software for the digital camera as of course it was lost when I wiped the computer this week. She's getting a nice size though I don't think she'll be as big as we thought she would get. She's still at the I'm a crazy puppy stage of life but then they generally are goofy as heck from 6 months to a year of age and you just have to get through that stage with them.

Ain't that the truth? Like having a kid...only with kids it lasts about 15 years! :P
