    You could try it ... a lot of breeders have some success with that method ... but they're also usually doing it in conjunction with an ultra sound to track follicular developmnt in the females so that they don't have any wasted breeding efforts ... and from what I can tell, they don't have near the success rate in terms of % bred vs. % gravid that seasonal cyclers do.

    I leave it to outside climate to help me out with that. Down here by the Gulf of Mexico, our "Winter," if you can call it that, starts later than more northern areas, so my breeding season comes around a bit later. I just cool the snakes down as the house cools down, then warm them up as the weather does also.

    Balls have a 6th sence. They can feel the season change. Juast like they feel night and day. I dont think you really have to back the breeding season up any. :D
