Just curious, why do you keep them in such small spaces?
Re: I made the mistake of getting.....
when they're only a quarter of an inch long it would be almost impossible to keep up with them otherwise, and also very hard for them to find food, etc...
Re: I made the mistake of getting.....
cool pork!
I didnt realize it was so TINY!!
I read they get up to about 10". Is that true? whoa!!

We have to. Tarantulas have very poor eyesight, and depend on vibration of the prey moving to find it. If they are in a container that is a whole lot bigger than that, they could starve in a container that had crickets in it, if one didn't cross the spiders path.
Re: I made the mistake of getting.....
you can feed your slings twice a week... and once they are larger you can go to once a week. ;)
i have about a dozen Ts - just looooooove watching them web up their enclosures and staring at their beauty....
i do think i need more though... my collection needs to grOW :D

Also, tarantulas in the wild don't move very far from their burrows. There are often burrows less than 5 feet away from each other, with one T per burrow in the wild.
