If, as you say, he had multiple stuck sheds on his eyes when you got him, he may have been effectively blind until he finally shed them all off. And he's feeling healthy enough to put up some defensive maneuvers to try and scare that predator away and make it leave him alone.
You have to try and see things from your snake's point of view...which is extremely simple and basic. He needs to feel safe and secure in his own home. He won't feel that way if you are bothering him all the time....and it only gets worse of you "fight back" at his defenses by throwing things at him or thumping him on the head.
Make sure his environment is all set properly...with the right temperature gradient...a decent humidity level....fresh water...and plenty of small, snug hides for him to choose from. Filling his tank with some loosely crumpled newspaper will allow him to move about his new territory and still feel secure and "hidden" from all the scarey stuff out there. Then just leave him completely alone. Try to check/refill his water when he's tucked away in a hide...feed him once a week without taking him out of his enclosure....just leave him totally alone for a good two weeks or more.
Once you get to that point....both of you should be feeling a bit better about everything and you can work on very slowly getting him used to your presence and being handled.

Thanks guys. Ok, fine i was harassing him a LITTLE but i was just testing if he was attacking at ME or anything thats approaches him. I was just making sure =\. Were doing better now, he didnt snap at me this time when i try to pick him up.

Keep coming at anything after a warning and sure it will make contact with you the 2nd time.
Try rubbing some vasaline in your eyes so there really cloudy and then stand in a small space with something a million times bigger then you, that you arent to sure will hurt you or not....of coarse you would be a little nervous.
Just give him/her time...I'm sure he will come around in no time.
