anerys are black and white (roughly)

amels are red and white (again, roughly)
there are 2 types of anery (a and b) i think a's are more likely to have some orange near the head
anery type a crosses with amel for snow's which are white with some pinkish color to the saddles.
anery type b crosses with amels for blizards, which as adults are completely solid white.

if you look at my post "new babies" i have pics of an anery, a snow, a sunglow (which is a variation on amel which has an orange background instead of white) I will add a pic of a regular amel soon. (their all babies other than the sunglow though)

I saw some striped corns of different colors at MARS. They are definitely impressive. I'm thinking I might need a pair of those next year.

    Thanks :sunny:

Anerythristic means no red/orange. Sometimes they're referred to as black corns. Amelanistic means no black, and they also have red eyes. The combination of anerythrism and amelanism creates a "snow" corn snake, which some people call albino. It's basically white with some pink, maybe a little yellow around the neck. Also has red eyes.

EDIT: Here's a picture of a baby anerythristic corn snake.

    And a baby amelanistic.

to answer your question (breeder vs pet store), i believe almost everyone will agree that a breeder is best for ANYTHING. as long as it's a responsible breeder, of course. breeders tend to actually care for the animals, they tend to have better prices, and they tend to know A LOT more about the animals...all of my animals (minus my cockapoo) are from breeders. but, of course, adoption is a great option!

Well I'll have to start off with my personal fav. isn't really a reality yet, I'm working at the time on breeding a true sulfar/sulfar stripe corn with a good diffusion. My fav. to date has to be the Opel stripe just a wonder pink snake. To clarify Anry A can show some yellow around the head, while charcol is a true black/gray and white corn. All corn snake genes are also simple ressive out side of Ultra and Montly, Ultra being co dom to Amel, and Montly co dom to Stripe.

    My Favorites are

    1. Okeetees (just normal with that awesome pattern)
    2. Hypo Okeetees, B E A U TIFUL
    3. Reverse Okeetees, (amel okeetees)

Yea I like okeetees, want ta fight about it :sabduel:

    :rolleye2:

Outside of Okeetees I like Lavanders best but I have been trying to breed as much of that saddle pattern into Lavs and I can get. OK I am a okeetee NUT, :taz: I admit it.
