What of Jacques Cousteau's work don't you agree with? I said nothing of my opinions on Jean-Michel's conservation efforts, merely that he is a self-righteous prat for incorrectly blaming Steve Irwin's death on his showmanship for self-advancement. Before you reply with a diatribe, tell me for what purpose J-M Cousteau would add to his statement on Steve Irwin's conservation efforts the words I quoted: "You don't touch nature, you just look at it. And that's why I'm still alive. I've been diving over 61 years - a lot many more years that he's been alive - and I don't mess with nature."

It's a cheapshot, that is 100% opinion and not fact, and can be easily paraphrased "I've always been right, Steve Irwin was wrong and he died because of it." It is very offensive no matter what other admirable characteristics he may have.
