    well, I know the lamp on for too long will help dry my tank out, as well as fans and such...
    and you're sure your snake didnt urinate and you're not seeing it, or that it might have gotten on the reader?
    (well mine's an acurite combo, and it's touchy as all get out...unnormally high humidity is my first indication I need to clean the cage again, since it's become the first thing I look at every time I walk by the cage)
