Where are you from Rhapsody? I'm in Daytona Beach Florida and the PetCo here also has 2 bp's housed together with nothing but a half log. The only decent thing in there is the water bowl.

If you really want a second snake (as opposed to rescuing one from wretched conditions), watch craigslist and your local classifieds. I've seen several snakes up for adoption for little or no money on these forums. I got mine out of the local classifieds, which came with two major advantages. One, I was able to handle it extensively so I knew I was getting a docile snake that was comfortable being handled. Two, I was able to watch it eat, so I knew it would take FT without any problems. Also, I had a good idea how big it would get since it was six years old. I gave the guy 25 bucks, but he told me he would have given it up for free to a good home.

cool. ill definately check the classifieds then. as far as housing 2 or more bp's in one tank, everytime i go to a pet store, the bp's seem to just entwine with each other as if cuddling. what does this mean?

They are dominating each other for the best space in the enclosure.

Domination = stress = impared immune systems.

Just because they do it at pet stores does not make it a good idea.
