I find it hard to believe someone would suggest putting a live mouse and a snake in a paper bag, IMO this is not a good practice however I dont feed live ever these days so maybe the "live" feeders can comment on that but to my mind I would have layed the "live" mouse in her tank and offered the dead mouse in the bag but thats my opinion.

let me know how you go with the tongs and heated mouse ? Dont poke her in the face with it though she will smell it fine especially if you up the heat signiture on it by using the hairdryer on the head method so its quite hot ( not cooked though lol )

As I said I would wait another week myself and be patient and give her space.

Snakey68,i told her it would be ok to place a mouse fuzzy or a rat fuzzy in the bag with the snake. These prey items are unable to do any harm to the snake.Kilo i did not say a big mouse  .

excellent Kyle I didn't think you would poke it in the head..hehe

as soon as it takes it ( assuming it does) leave the room and leave it to eat in peace , I think this is important whilst your establishing feeding response early on.

also have you tried a rat pup ? bare in mind rats and mice smell different, it may prefer one over the other depending on what it was feeding on prior to you purchasing it.

I recommend getting a good 5 or 6 meals in it before handling too much so its well on its way to settling in and establishing confidence in its environment.

again Patience is a must for baby bloods as Kara will also tell you I am sure.

most healthy animals will eat when they feel secure and safe if they dont its usually down to husbandry IMO.

Its gonna be party time in your house I suspect when Kali does eat.:)
