I like the idea of a constant chat room. I might be able to host a bot.

We also list instant messager user names (in the profiles - if info provided) for those who would like to chat anytime. ;) Feel free to also search as there are a couple threads listing usernames as well. :gj:

If any of you would like to chat outside of this sites chat times, you are free to chat in AIM, which you can start a chat room in, or another service that offers that.

I like our weekly chats, and many times there aren't many people in those...so I don't see a daily open chat being warranted, like said before AIM, MSN, Yahoo messenger work fine for that.

What we could do (up to you mods) without harming the bandwidth of the site is to start an IRC channel. #BallPythons on DALnet is unregistered (It doesn't exist). I could register that channel, and we could make it the BP.net 24hours chatroom? IRC is something I'm on a LOT of the time, we could get channel operators to work in shifts and a bot.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but maybe the chat should be the same day and time everyweek. I think more people would make it a priority to chat when they know it's already programed.
