    It's usually a good idea to wait a week until the snake's next feeding day to offer again. If that box the rat is in it's made of chew proof type material or the screen is a light grade mesh you are likely going to have a rat on the loose soon. They can chew out of a lot of things and if that box is only meant for a temporary transport thing type it probably won't work for an extended rat enclosure.

    I am at a loss for words on this thread which is a new one for me :O

    It reads like a windup but I dont think it is ....:eek:

    for gods sake if this is real please learn about snake keeping cheshire_python.:eek:

    and there is no better place than here so please heed all the advice ........right back to staring into space in disbelief :eek:

    yea I figured as much, of all the info I research, THAT had to be soemthing I missed.

    and the box is temporary right now. I'm waiting for my dad to come home so we can bring the rat back to the store.

    That's why I'm here, trust me. But hey, everyone starts somewhere, and not everybody catches on as fast as others may.

    Oh and I went back through my journal to see how long I've had him...Its not been a year haha. It just FEELS like a year. I've only had him since sometime in March or April this year.

    EDIT::Make it February, it was in the middle of that month. Maybe I should stop taking naps sometimes during the day, it makes it feel like two days have gone by instead of one O_O
