He stays mostly on the cool side, the hot temp is 81, and cool side about 73 :) I just wanted to know though: I have his tank on the floor right now (running out of room in my bedroom with five tanks and a queen sized bed lol) and I was wondering if it would be safe to put a heating pad under his tank with the carpet and everything? I dont want him or my carpet to fry :P

if you have to get a heating pad- do so only temporarily(sp). heating pads depending on what kind will either cut off at a certian temp or burn out/short circut. look around for some heat tape.

lol I went into his tank this morning to give him a little hello and almost had a heart attack when I couldnt find him anywhere (thought I had an escapee). Is it normal for corns to burrow?

Yes! Especially when they are hatchlings. They love to cram themselves into little places, so if the hide you are using is too large he will likey always be buried under the substrate. I've found that hatchlings love a folded section of newspaper to hide in. They can squeeze between the pages, and feel secure. Plus it's easy to replace when it gets soiled.

Yeah, one of his hides is small enough just for him but the other one is a big half log lol. He's digging under the repti-bark :P I'm gonna look around the house for some smaller hides for him. Thanks :D
