Exotics does not always mean they treat snakes or reptiles at all. Ask them what thier experience is for sure... to alot of vets, exotics can mean rodents, birds, small furry critters such as sugar gliders, possums, and hedgies... but it does not always include reptiles of ANY kind.

    PorkChops,

You are supposed to raise humidity when they have an RI. It's just like when people, it has to be moist for the mucus to be spit out. If you dry it up, it will become worse.

Kilo, Your ambient humidity level is TOO low. It needs to be a constant of 60%.

Kilo, first, calm down - I imagine that last post may get edited. Go to this link and the answer to #16 has the link to two sites to find a qualified herp vet in your area:

This is incorrect. Humidity has to be lowered and ambient temps bumped up to 88-90. Also, nothing is a substitute for a vet visit.

thanks Robin, one place didn't anwser and one place didn't exist. I went to pat smart and asked them where they take there reptiles when they are in need of a vet! i recieved the number of where that take them which is actually pretty close but not open today. Then the lady I talk to gave me a number of the vet she uses for her personal animals. So tommorow I will be on the phone scheduling and app for my little baby boy to get it.

Also! I went to my sisters house today and it seems her snake has every sign of a RI too. WTC? What is happening to our babies!!!! So irritating.
