I've stunned a few times and I definitely don't like doing it. I kept begging Rick to make me a euthanasia machine so that we could prekill the feeders humanely and he has!
Luckily, Rick works for a company that makes gas cylinders and there was an extra cylinder laying around that was, lo and behold, filled with CO2! With a bit of plastic tubing and a small rubbermaid box, we have a nice euthanasia machine...=)

plastic bag + mouse + a whack on the picnic table = dead or stunned mouse/rat!

"stunning" is the by far worst thing to feed your snake. when that mouse/rat wakes up it will be stresed and will chew on your snake. ive even seen instances when a snake thinks the rat is dead and doesnt constrict and about halfway down the snakes throat the rat wakes up and thrashes about in the snake killing it. stunning-bad idea. feed dead or live.
