    Re: Feeding Frustration Question.
Just put an order into rodentpro for some more small rats. I'm gonna stick to F/T because I'm always afraid some freak accident will happen feeding live and my snake will lose an eye or something. Gonna make Sunday my official feeding day, I must admit in the last couple months I did not maintain a consistent feeding day. Always offered once a week just not on the same day, sometimes the 6th or 8th day. Hopefully she'll come out of the shed hungry. Thanks for the info everyone. Also when you guys feed f/t and have a refusal what do you do with it...throw it out, re-freeze it?

Just refreeze it right away, toss it if it's been out in the heat a long time or smells funky at all. Put it in a good grade freezer bag, squeeze out all the air and mark it as refrozen with the date. That way you use up any refreezes oldest first and even mark it with the snake's name if you have any issues with any snakes in quarantine (you want to keep their prey for them and not offer to an established collection snake).

Okie dokie will do, I guess you should only re-freeze them once right and throw them out afterwords.

Yes, re-freeze just once. After that the cells break down and the rodent smells more pungent and unpleasant.

in addition to the above, double check all your husbandry and temps. a warm snake is a hungry snake.

My warm side is usually between 88-94. I'll let everyone know what happens after shed. Thanks for all the input.
