    I have started using newspaper with a white-paper-towel layer on top to take away the look of, well, newspaper. I have added a few fake green plants (vines) and it actually looks nice and neat without having a loose substrate that hides urate/fecal matter even after you think you've cleaned it all out.

    I prefer my mattress, it's not too firm or too saggy, just right. I also like two pillows, not those poofy soft inflated like ones, but ones that are well.... soft and firmish.

    I use paper towel - several layers of it for the snake's comfort (OK my snakes are spoiled rotten:P ). Sometimes use the type with borders on - changes the look of the viv. Haven't heard the snakes complain yet;) :snake:

    cypress, aspen, reptile carpet. Every cage seems to have a different bedding ;) .
