    less efficient heating on the side of the tank, belly heat rocks!!!

    Heat rises, so the transfer on a horizontal plane is not very efficient. So yeah, what Vaughn said.... belly heat rocks. :rolleyes:

    darn... b/c i don't think i can find a table with a hole on the underside so that i can put it on the bottom... any suggestions? =)

    When I used a tank, I just raised it with small wooden blocks. That way the heating pad would fit, and allowed for good air flow. It also reduced the risk of overheating.
