Yeah.. burrowing could be dangerous if, say, your UTH is adjusted to make the top of a thick substrate, the right temp. The snake could end up sitting right on top with just a thin layer of plastic or glass between it and the heat; now what I do is use paper towels weighed down by rocks in strategic places; along with snug hides, this works great.
You should post some piccies of your setup, so we can help more!

You really need to lay off of the kid. If you want to offer some constructive criticism about ways to communicate online, then fine.....but flat statements such as this with no intent other than to try and make the person feel bad about themselves have NO PLACE at BP.net and will not be tolerated.

(Not to mention the fact that he was JOKING for goodness sake.)

lay off it man. in the immortal words of Prince 'Erbets father...

"now now lets not go on arguing and fussing about 'hoo killed 'hoo"

seriously, i know this dude ,rmunewhatever, is a tad obtuse but as long as the guy asking the question understands that he's not offering good advise our task here is finished.

You are right, I am sorry. It was way out of line for me to say those things - and I apologise to Ryan and anyone else that my comments may have offended.. I am not like that I promise!

I must have been having a bad day :(

    Sorry again

Now that this topic comes up, it makes me wonder. Is there a difference in WC/CH vs. CB behavior? If I understand correctly BP in the wild burrow naturally so....would your snake be more inclined to burrow if it was CH/WC vs. CB or not? Any opinions on this? BTW sorry to hijack your thread, I just figured it may be relevant to the initial question.
