Oh heck no need to apologize, mine do too. Just my "mom" mode came out here. :)

When I had mine on my neck he decided to try and go down my shirt instead. He wasn't gonna find anything down there. :rolleye2:

I tuck my BCI's tail under my shoulder and keep my other arm between the rest of the snake and me so he can't wrap himself round my neck. He's usually really good about it and is usually happy to sit there. He's of a size now that he can have a wander round the living room floor under close supervision (that goes for our little girl BCI, Zag too - she's the same age). Hubby did actually let Zig wrap round his neck tonight (silly boy - my hubby, not the snake) and I had to gently take him off. Zig didn't exactly help as he'd tied his tail round his body like a shoelace. I could swear he was smirking. Zig's well over 4 1/2ft long now. Zag is not far behind, only a couple of inches shorter. Usually it's the females who are bigger but not in this case although I think Zag will eventually overtake Zig.

Our Royal Pythons aren't a problem. Byron is quite small yet - just over 2 1/2ft and he likes sitting on my shoulders. He's got an uncanny knack of knowing if I've got a headache and he'll gently massage the back of my neck. For a Royal he's as bold as brass. Our other Royal is quite shy, but he'd a really bad start to life. He's really healthy now, and I hope happy:D

Even though our BCIs are still quite young and fairly small, they are getting quite powerful so we always make sure there are two of us when handling them. Better safe than sorry both from our safety point of view and also the snakes.

Oh yes - nothing like a snakey massage ... :relax:

When mine are round my neck I keep my fist between my neck and their bodies - it stops them from squeezing the neck too tight.

I use to put mine around my neck all the time , but now since he's so big it's become uncomfortable. He squeeze's very hard so I just hold him now.

I got a Red Tail the other day and my dad suggested that when it gets older, just put a big tree branch in my room and let it roam. Of course I had to explain to him why doing that isn't the greatest idea, but we still laughed at the idea. My mom is so clueless she doesn't know the potentials of them. ;)

:D Well of course, you have to make sure they're trained to come when they're called first ;) and make sure the little kitty isn't in your room too.
