let's face it... there's good and bad petstores all over the place. we have one in abbotsford bc that puts piles of snakes in one large enclosure and to top it all off... a respected breeder of snakes and lizards is the manager!!!

she says she's talked to the owner and he won't allow her to give them better living conditions... personally i would report my own boss if needed (but that's me)

---hope they change the conditions for the snake!

    Well...

I emailed the HQ and also the Pet Store itself and told them what was up, and told them what I would do if they didnt fix the problem (inform Animal Welfare)!
I also attached a very descriptive care sheet!

anyway they emailed me back very qucikly within 2 hours and told me they would speak with the manager of the pet store.
He then emailed me back again and told me the Pet Store was now aware and that the manager (Andrew) wants me to go straight to him next time!
Why would I ask him fix them problem when he can't even tell me the truth! He has already lost my trust and lied saying he didnt even sell BPs. He thinks I'm blind or retarded.
I'm not going to the manager next time! I'm going to Animal Welfare next time!

Oh well...hopefully the snake is thankful and I'll probably stop by and see how he is doing this week!

Cheers for your input gang! :colbert2:

That's terrible to treat ANY animal like that.. and I agree with you on going up the chain of command!!!

Skip the stupid manager and go up the chain. Let them know that you already talked to that idiot and nothing was fixed. It sounds like that chain just has a bunch of people who know nothing at all about animals just working for them

I am in Mesa, Arizona, and there are some HORRIBLE pet stores around here. I went into one of them and they had 3 BP's in the same 4x4 cage...
So i caused a problem about it, and they put them in separate cages. I went back later (thinking they did it just to appease me then) and they had left them in separate cages.

I am super-happy that you took a stand!

Just kidding?? :tears: But... why? I like that title! :P

And yes, AZ has no shortage of crappy pet stores, sadly.
