    just curious, what it a really long rat? i thought the same girth as you're snake was what you want.

    There's some excellent thoughts and discussion about choosing the right sized prey for your snake.

    And one more thought I want to add that isn't in that thread...even if you're going by "girth size"...sometimes it's not easy to accurately "eyeball" the true sizes involved. (As noted in this very thread.)

    To answer your question yes it was a really long rat.
