Leave it in. Ball Pythons are ambush hunters. They will feel more secure and absolutely will find the fuzzy. Fuzzies dont hide very well anyway since their eyes usually aren't open yet :)
No, his eyes are open. This suckers jumping around the whole place.

Are you sure you got a fuzzy? Is it a mouse or a rat?

If it's eyes are open and it's ears are fully upright it's not a fuzzy...it's either a hopper mouse or a rat pup. If you check the Feeder FAQ there's a sticky there explaining the different development stages of both rats and mice.

Exactly! So I supect either there is a husbandry issue, a scared snake, too large of a prey item or a combination of the above..

I think to large of a prey, he's upright and he's jumping and his eyes are open. I'm going to bring it back. My mom, sad to say but a fool to believe a chain petstore saying 'If he didn't eat the fuzzy you need an older pinky' yet they gave my mom a hooper or rat pup.
Right now he's denying the prey and just basking.

How often have you been handling him? My four new babies all took a hopper mouse (larger than a fuzzy) with no problem.

Okay this is totally confusing (or is it just me?). If it's a fuzzy then it's either a fuzzy mouse or a fuzzy rat....you can't buy an pinky older than a fuzzy??? or did the pet store mean if the fuzzy is too big to go down in size to a pinky that's "bigger" aka almost a fuzzy but a bit less developed? If they said a pinky then I am assuming you mean a pinky rat as no BP in it's right mind is taking a pinky mouse....way too small. So did your mom get a hopper mouse or a rat pup?
