    speaking off mommy things....

i remember my mom always telling me she was gonna rip my arm off and beat me with it.... as a little kid, I was terrified she would actually do it and often times wondered how I would get my arm re-attached after the fact....

    ...duct tape? moms super glue???

as an adult..... i find myself smiling and imagining (sp) it when I have to tell my kids the same thing....

the answer that i find works best when i dont wanna do sumthing my parents are asking me to do (usually getting up in the morning goes like this...

Mom- Get up already you're ten minutes late!!!
Me- I'm up!! (this said lying down on the bed, face down buried in a pillow)
    Mom-Are you dressed yet?!
Me- Yep! (this said lying down on the bed, face down buried in a pillow)
Mom- Are you lying to me!?!
Me- Yep! (this said lying down on the bed, face down buried in a pillow)
    Mom- I'm gonna murder you!
Me- Probably! (this said lying down on the bed, face down buried in a pillow)

you get the drift...i just keep agreeing to things and eventually she gives up!

    it works great

My daugher tried something like this a few times.. the first time, I let it go..but the 2nd, she and the mattress got flipped right off the box spring onto the floor..the 3rd time, it was a nice cold frozen spoon to her rear end under those nice comfy warm covers..works like a charm, she jumped right out of bed and got to moving..however, she gave the silent treatment..as if it would bother me.. and I LOVED it..quiet at last!

Ohh, just sitting here thinking about how to get my son out of bed, looked over and remembered that the vent thats next to my desk on the floor looks down right over his bed... right at the head of it in fact since the pipe needs to be fixed anyhow.. I could drip cold water on his forehead from right above him since his room is in the basement.

excepy it's all rather one sided isn't it? teens don't want war they want to be left alone. and when they can't get peace they run off to non-extradite (SP?) countries and neener back!
