Where in the UK do you live? Rick's going on a business trip tomorrow to Vancouver CA and then to Nottingham, so my devious mind is thinking of sending a can of PAM with him in hopes he might be able to get it through to you.

What about hot rocks? They still sell those. I'm sure it will be fine. Just follow the instructions and the best thing to do from now on is just try your hardest to PREVENT getting mites. Quarentine, clean cages regularly, wash your hands after handling one animal or when entering and leaving you reptile and quarentine room. Hope this helps you a bit

Cassandra - how sweet of you - but it might be something that isn't allowed and I'd hate to get Rick into trouble. The smell has faded now and she seems happy enough so I guess I'll hope that it works, doesn't say anything on the bottle about having to use it a week later or anything else.

Pork - I've switched to newspaper and paper towels now - so it will all be much easier. I really don't know where she got them from as we always make sure her cage is clean and check for poops and stuff every day.

I've heard of mites hitching a ride in a bag of badding, on live feeders(YUK), and even on your clothes. I always change my clothes before getting near any of my herps when I come back from a pet store. You never know when mites may have come in contact with you.

Yeah, could have come with the locusts I suppose - I think I'll have to apply that policy - I only have before if I've actually handled any of the snakes at our store (which isn't often anyway).

    Good point.
