    Are rats the generally recommended food for BPs?

    Or is it even possible to keep feeding mice indefinitely?

    Nala is already eating the largest mice.... maybe it's time to switch.

    Either is fine, as long as they are eating SOMETHING.

    A lot of people on here feed rats primarily due to the intention of breeding. A lot of people feed rats because, but not limited to:

    rats are less expensive pound for pound than mice
    mice freakin stink
    rats are a much 'junkier' meal
    more weight per meal
    etc etc etc

    Females can be raised to breeding size on mice. You'll just go through a crapton of mice. For some that isn't cost effective, but for others it may be.

    In other words- totally keeper and snake preference. Ounce for ouce, Rats have no added nutritonal benefit over mice otherwise.

    Now, one advantage you listed was "bulkier meal". Multiple mice per feed can also accomplish the same thing, right?
